Please join the CESE and the Office of Research Protections (ORP) for an IRB workshop on January 7th from noon to 1:30 PM in 114 McAlister.  The workshop will provide a brief overview of topics you will need to consider before engaging in research with human subjects (such as SoTL projects).  Topics may include IRB training resources, IRB proposal criteria and guidelines, the new CATS (Centralized Application Tracking System) for proposal submissions, HIPAA and FERPA considerations, and more.  If there is a specific topic you would like to see addressed at this workshop, please email Jenay Robert at jenayrobert@gmail.com so that she can pass your request along to the ORP staff.  A light lunch will be served at the workshop, so please RSVP to Tara Witherite (trw1@psu.edu) by noon on January 5th so that we can order appropriately.
