With the increased concern over student learning, there is no shortage of recommendations made to improve instruction in postsecondary STEM courses. Unfortunately, many of these recommendations are based on myths about how students learn. In this discussion, Drs. Van Meter and Firetto address some of the most common myths they encounter in their work with postsecondary STEM instructors. The discussion is designed to address key, fundamental principles of student learning while providing instructors with tips and techniques for how these principles can be translated into action in their STEM courses. Please join us for this important discussion.
