The scientific method of asking interesting questions, formulating hypotheses, designing experiments, and analyzing and communicating data is difficult to learn in a lecture course or a traditional laboratory format. In this CESE Fellowship project, we have designed and implemented a two course sequence in which undergraduates in BMB majors learn science by performing research.
