The single most important task you face when planning a course is to design appropriate learning objectives, which specify exactly what you want students to know or be able to do at the end of the course. Everything else that happens in your course, including teaching strategies, assignments and assessments, is easier when you have a clear sense of the learning objectives. This interactive workshop is designed to give you an opportunity to write specific, measurable, action oriented, realistic, and time-bound (SMART) learning objectives for your course. This workshop is geared for those who have never written learning objectives as well as for those who have them and would like to sharpen or fine-tune them.
